Lake Tsivlou
Lake Tsivlou is located above the area of Akrata, at an altitude of 700 meters and is surrounded by Mount Helmos.
It is a natural lake that was created in 1913 after a landslide blocked the bed of the river Krathis.
Its name comes from the village of Tsivlos which is located at the bottom of the lake after the landslide.
The lake is surrounded by a dense pine and fir forest and is a popular recreation destination.
Around the lake there are many small villages (Peristera, Zarouchla, Agia Varvara) with traditional taverns that are worth visiting!!!

The take-off of Agia Triada, as it is known from the monastery of the same name in the area, is favored by the upward currents of the wind in front of the slope of the specific area. The sky is filled with color from the sails of the modern Icars who, among other things, admire from above the plateau of Agios Nikolaos.
